Szczecin Cosmology Group Szczecińska Grupa Kosmologiczna

Friday Seminars

Welcome to our esteemed Friday Cosmology Seminar, a distinguished tradition within our research group since its inception on November 11, 1994. This celebrated scientific forum marked its 25th anniversary in 2019, coinciding with Poland’s National Independence Day.

Initiated by Prof. Mariusz P. Dąbrowski, inspired by informal discussions at the University of Sussex in 1993/94, these seminars now focus on cosmology and encourage interdisciplinary dialogues in physics and cosmological philosophy.

Our seminars strike a balance between technical depth, encompassing advanced cosmological discussions, and accessible presentations on a popular or review level. The informal setting fosters lively discussions, creating an environment conducive to intellectual exchange.

Guests are warmly welcomed with coffee or tea and traditional doughnuts, enhancing the seminar experience. We extend an invitation to those interested to reach out to the group members. Currently, Dr. Hussain Gohar oversees the organization of these seminars, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants. Your presence will undoubtedly enrich the intellectual tapestry of our ongoing scientific exploration.

Location: Room 403, Institute of Physics, University of Szczecin, Wielkopolska 15, 70-451 Szczecin, Poland and online on ZOOM.

Time: Fridays, 12.30-14.00 PM

Please note that our seminars are conducted via Zoom, offering a virtual space for our intellectual gatherings. We look forward to your active participation in these insightful sessions.
